Up next are the Heat and Union collections.
The Heat collection was created on 2001, comprised of more highly durable items that will last you a lifetime. Heat items are made from tear and water-resistant ballistic Cordura nylon, and include custom Porter x Maglite mini-flashlights. (note: Heat items are almost sold out at the shop)
The Union collection, created in 1995, are inspired by old American gardening tool bags and hiking utility packs. Made of Polyester and PVC, Union bags are made for rugged activities as well as everyday use, and can be either hand-carried or worn.
On tap for today is the Porter Freestyle collection. Freestyle collection items are characterized by a crinkled effect created by hand rubbing the polyurethane-coated high density canvas outer of each piece.
The high-performance material looks and feels like luxury leather, but is highly weather and tear resistant, and while just as durable, it is also much lighter than leather.
Casual and stylish, the Freestyle collection includes great everyday items. As an alternative to leather goods, the Freestyle collection is also perfect for those living a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.
The long-anticipated Porter drop arrived at the store today. Lucky Lefty’s is proud to be amongst a select group of retailers carrying Porter for its first foray into the American market.
Today, I will introduce one of the many Porter lines we carry – the Drive series.
Created in 2002, the Drive series is highly durable and versatile, made in nylon twill with PVC coating.
The Drive backpack is perfect for everyday activities, with a simple aesthetic and complex design.
Some streetwear accessory fans may recognize this model.
The interior of the Drive backpack is made of 210 dernier nylon coated with a acrylic and urethane blend.
The backpack also includes several storage pockets. The laptop sleeve (pictured below) is especially useful, with an adjustable strap that fits most laptop sizes, and a terry cloth lining for scratch protection.

A neighboring building on 16th street collapsed yesterday after a car accident sent an SUV through one of the walls. Built in 1929, most of building crumpled due to the “lack of steel beams.” The crazy thing is, that very building was almost Lucky Lefty’s, as we considered moving in after Kevin Johnson’s election staff moved out. Thank goodness it’s been vacant for a few months, and somehow nobody was seriously injured.
