Still recovering from Black Friday, my sleep schedule is no longer appropriate for this hemisphere (and for those of you that know me, it was already abnormal). Four days later, I’m still amazed by the showing of support we had on Friday, from those people who lined up in the freezing hours of the early morning, to our friends who stopped by simply to say hello.
If it were not for all of these people holding us down from day one, Lucky Lefty’s would not be what it is today. I am extremely thankful for all of the love, and therefore I found it appropriate to embarrass a few of you by putting your mugs up on the front page.
To every person who’s helped us out…every customer, and every brand…the student counselor who told me this was a “stupid idea”…the landlords who didn’t want us to move in…every person who supports our vision…every person who reads this blog…every person with an open mind, and every person who gives a sh*t about anything…To my friends and family.
We opened our doors on Black Friday, 2008, with a handful of brands, busted knuckles, and fingers crossed. Come check out what we have going on this time around. Follow the LL Twitter for more details.
Thanksgiving is coming up, and many households in the Sacramento region are still food insecure. This Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Lucky Lefty’s will be taking food donations at the shop. All goods will be donated to the Sacramento Food Bank.
The Sacramento Food Bank needs - Canned and dry goods - Fresh produce - Unexpired, USDA certified, perishable food items (meat, eggs, dairy) - Pots, pans, plates, and silverware
Anybody who brings in a donation will receive a discount for any in-store product. Please help out!
Over the last year, Lucky Lefty’s has allowed us to travel quite a bit. Out of these great locations, Tokyo and Honolulu are still my favorite, though I’m not complaining about any others (well maybe, but that’s neither here nor there). With that said, home is still where our heart is.
I was in San Francisco earlier this week visiting with some friends from Japan. Rip (on the left) has been all over the US this past month showcasing for Gentemstick snowboards. These boards are some of the most unique I’ve seen and are shaped to give a feel closer to surfing. Here are some photos from the night of the exhibition.
For those of you that don’t know, we do carry select brands for the ladies at the shop. We just received our Stussy shipment for the Holiday season, which includes some great pieces for the Winter.
