Omina Labs is our neighbor here on 16th St, and is one of the top recording studios in the region. J-Intell, Jae Synth and company are the production and mastering team behind some of California’s biggest hip hop artists. It’s not unusual to see Norcal mainstays like E-40, Bueno, Chino Moreno, Mistah Fab, or Doey Rock there on any given day.

Omina is also a hub for up and coming Norcal artists like Chase Moore, C Plus, and Illecism

I went to see C Plus open for Wale tonight at Empire. With support from Illecism, fellow State Cap member AV, 5th Ave (Delorean), and DJ Oasis, this dude put on one hell of a set.

Scarub and Wale followed, and although I didn’t get it on tape, Wale dropped his soon-to-be infamous freestyle dissing the Sonic guy. Overall a pretty good night.

Come check out that man C-PLUS tomorrow night at Empire. The show starts at 6pm. It also features some dudes you might have heard of like Wale and Scarub. I mean, they’re pretty decent, too, so definitely give them a shot.

EDIT: Performing with C-PLUS is none other than Illecism. Now the show is a must see.
