There are only 50 of these in existence. This deck is available at Lucky Lefty’s, as well as the Flying Coffin web store.
This week’s Follow Friday is is devoted to a few of the guys making things happen in the fixed gear community. We follow all of them on our twitter and think it’s worth your time too. So, without further ado, I bring you #FixedFriday.
W-Base, run by owner Moto and shop manager Yohei, is a BMX and Fixed Gear focused shop in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Moto has been riding BMX for over twenty years and opened the shop to express his take on riding. You might recognize Yohei from his part in Mash. Yohei is also a talented artist and contributes the the shop’s line of shirts. If you are ever in Tokyo, definetly hit them up. In the meantime, check out the W-Base twitter here. (Kudos if you can spot the LL sticker in their background)

When you’re in need of a “fixie fix”, chances are, you will end up on Kris’ blog Locked Cog. Updated multiple times daily, Locked Cog keeps you up to date with the world of fixed gear culture. Kris is a Sacramento native and can often be found at the shop in between riding and working. He’s also a thief, that stole my hat several weeks ago. Just kidding, he’s a good guy, I still want that hat back though. Keep up with all of Kris’ shenanigans on his twitter.

Fixed gear riding has been progressing and growing in Hawaii under the watchful eye of Ryan Lau. Ryan runs things over at Aloha Fixed out of Honolulu. He has been working hard on the first Aloha Fixed film “290ed” and putting out some dope new product. Fresh off his trip from Japan, Ryan has a lot of projects in the works for the growing company. I owe all my vocabulary of Hawaiian pidgin slang to dis bruddah here. See what Ryan has going on, follow the Aloha Fixed Twitter.

W-Base rider Teppei Iwabuchi, better known as “Nasty”, has been pushing the limits for fixed gear trick riding in Tokyo, garnering himself a lot of attention over the past year. Warp Magazine in Tokyo recently did a shoot with Nasty, which is when Ryan(Aloha Fixed) captured the photo below. Great things are always coming out of Japan…I’m very excited to see more from Teppei in the coming months.
